Great atmosphere and good food
We went out on New Year’s Day as we didn’t want to cook. At around 7:00 pm many places were closed and we saw the glow of this restaurant full of people. So we went in and found a pleasant atmosphere and excellent food. The service was good too.
We had a light meal of an appetizer and two dishes but all were tasty.
We had wontons in a peanut sauce appetizers. Excellent. And crispy fried beef with sesame seeds. It was very good though a few were a bit too crisp but overall we enjoyed it. The third dish was a sizzling plate of eggplant stuffed with shrimp. It could have used a little more sauce and perhaps a I bit more spice but it was nice even as served. . We had a really poor meal here a year ago but perhaps they have a new chef so today we recommend it highly.
I love going during lunch! Their à la carte is my favorite! In terms of regular dining: The food is okay, it is our go to when my family wants to eat somewhere close to our home. I love their crispy sesame beef and the stuffed eggplant. Service is okay as well. Pricing varies depending in the dish. Parking can be difficult sometimes depending on when you go.
Came here for lunch w/my family of 5 on a Thursday, and service was a little disoriented but attentive (we were asked if we wanted to order from the lunch specials menu or the Dim Sum menu; we ordered from both); Dim Sum items were fresh and tasty (spring rolls, eggplant filled with shrimp, BBQ bun, shrimp wontons), and the regular menu items ( chicken fried rice, pan fried chicken w/lemon sauce) were also above average. Dim Sum selection was somewhat limited (? related to eating @ the end of the lunch hour).Overall, a very good experience !
